Julie and I flew out to Denver and had a five hour drive down to Oklahoma to attend our Grandpa's funeral on 3-21-09. We were very glad that we went. It was very touching, all the details that the funeral home put together and the community was great. There is a total of 6 grand kids, we were all pallbearers. My Grandma is doing well - with the fact that there were married for over 62 years and having living on that ranch for more than 40 years, she is handling it well.
My Grandpa was out picking up trash along side of their road that goes through the ranch. Some vacationers found him dead on the scene, with his four-wheeler flipped over on top of him. The officials thinks that he might have had a massive heart attack. They believe that he was not in any pain. He died on his ranch like he wanted to; doing what he loved to do. We know that he is in heaven having a blast up there. He came from a family of 14 brothers and sisters and he was the last to go. Now they get to see each other up there.
